Katherine spotted this segmented Cereus on the way to the Dodger vs. Padres game.

We picked it up on the way home.

I don’t know if taking these plants home from the local 99cent store is a “healthy” purchase or an unhealthy move feeding an ecosystem threat. I wonder if there is a great divide list of “good” vs. “bad” vendors, nurseries, ebay sellers, etc.
